never thought I would ever say that, but I accidently tripped and bought a fender fm212 cheapo combo.

I have no idea...On the front there are three inputs grouped togther on the front/right side(one of them clearly being for the footswitch)...one says "Pre out" and the other "Pwr in"...what the hell?Is that fenders idea of an FX loop?

At the moment i'm running my GT-8(never rely on family to actually compensate you for goods)into the front end(regular input).

Is the "Pre Out" where I should hook up the pedal?I can't find any documentation(manuals or anything...I got a floor model).

I can compensate a bit by selecting just 'combo' on the GT's output selection, but it still could sound better(most of my presets are dialed up for headphones too).

Any help would be great.

From what I can get from fender, it seems that you are right. the left input of the cluster is for a foot switch, and the right two are a version of effect loops. The above link should take you straight to the owners manual for the FM 212 that you purchased. I hope this helps!
