Judging by your handle speed is important to the style of music you play, so keep it up and you'll be at 200bpm in no time;-) Just remember though, 99% of all shredders sound terrible because they just play scales as fast as they can without putting any thought into creating interesting melodic lead. If you've only been playing for a year then you should be able to teach yourself to play 'good shred' if you stay away from what most guys play (scales up and down with ill chosen bends). Not knocking fast playing, I'm into shred too;-) Best of luck!
