Cost? Something below $500 for sure. The closer to zero the better.
style? Mainly genre mixing rock. I have no plans to ever play lead, so the ability to chime in and get a tone that cuts through the band will never really be a goal. I would like something versatile enough that I can get a good reggae-esque off beat chop and still be able to get a good meaty classic rock rhythm tone. I think telling you what I don't do would be easier ;) I stay away from Emo, Metal and such. I'm more into the groove oriented musics.
intent? It will be dabbling till I feel comfortable enough with it to play in front of other people. Then, I would like to be able to play the guitar in a professional setting without getting laughed at. So FirstActs are out ;)
