I would like to start developing my vocals so I sing along with guitar. Is there a good site I should look up or some good exercises for a beginner?

Just start beltin' it out dude.I would sing more often, but I have no such privacy...I would love to develop a bruce dickinson/halford falsetto voice...

I'm not sure about technique...like "you should sing from the stomach" and such.I know keeping your throat well hydrated is crucial.

Yeah, sing from the diaphragm. And always, always always, if it hurts stop right then and there. You've only got one voice and if you want to use it then treat it well. Drink plenty of water and do breathing exercises before practicing/performing. Learn to control how much air you let out of your lungs as you sing different pitches, some pitches call for more air to be released and others less.

Whatever you do, don't eat limes. A friend of mine ate a lime once and BAM!! Two years later. Herpes.
