I play every night and this is the first night I can actually say I've given my fretting hand more of a workout than my picking hand. I've never felt this kindof soarness in my fretting hand.... kindof refreshing

Make sure you fatigue isn't from your hand being too tense and tight. Make sure to relax it for the best performance.

it's gotta be, i mean even if your hand is as loose as possible, you're still contracting your muscles (and even more so while shredding)

I almost always tire my fretting hand out before more right hand. Some riffs I can only keep up for a few minutes before the burn sets in.
Try once,fail twice...

Yeah yesterday at school I practiced for like 2 hours straight, man my hand was beat! It was awesome though! I say that if one hand gets more faitgued than the other, then balance it out, that way both hands get better.
Practice 8 hours a day and God Bless you.

Oh man... I cant tell you the horrors of how my fretting hand is doing right now. I used to come back from school and play all night. Well as of right now I have a case of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, I've talked about it with some of the other people here on these forums but no one else seems to have ever had it. Let me tell you its good to work out your hand but know when to stop. The pain is of such a strange nature. On any given day the pain might be non-existent or on others its overwhelming and when I do feel the pain it can be in any finger or any other part in my hand. I'm seriously thinking about going to a doctor but I belong to a somewhat middle to lower class family and my mom is going through a medical bill for my brother that just broke his pinky horsing around with one of his friends. So right now I'm kinda stuck in limbo but I'm just letting you know to give it a rest sometimes.

Take it from someone who had tendonitis, if ur hand gets tired in anyway stop and rest, stretch it a bit and come back later... dont over do it and although my hand is better now I still get the odd pain now and then and when I do I rest and its fine.. STOP when ur hand gets tired because its then ur muscels and tendons start to cramp up and its then they get prone to injury.. I had to stop playing guitar for 6 months so be carefull peeps...

so if yur fingers hurt, does that mean you're fatigued or that you're tensing up too much and that something is wrong?? I"ve had peole tell me that when they play, nothing hurts, so I'm not sure.
Practice 8 hours a day and God Bless you.

It used to be strenous for me to play extensively. I really don't have too much of a problem anymore though. Of course if I'm testing myself things can tense up but when I practice and just goof off I feel perfectly comfortable... I really hate practicing. Ok, so I exaggerate it a bit, but it's so damn boring from time to time because everything is so much slower and cautious than real time jamming. But if I dont' want to suck then it's a small sum to pay.
