You're probably looking at $15 per half hour. Figure on having to sign up for at least 4 lessons at one lesson per week. (I doubt one lesson would be too much good anyways)
Make sure you pick a time when you can attend for sure, or make sure of their cancellation policy ahead of time. Some places give you the option of cancelling lessons 24hrs in advance, some don't & charge you anyways.

well i too have fat fingers but that is not a big problem. try playing the chromatic notes as fast as possible and i can say that it will be half solved within 2 weeks .

D. Lessons can surely help! The next best thing are lessons on DVD or tape.
Dr. Simon has great instruction on this site. Even playing with friends who are better than you is a great way to learn. Actually your fingers arn't fat, they just feel that way because your'e using them in an unfamiliar fashion. Don't give up!!!

NOt just friends who are better than you, all jamming helps alot, I think it iks definately the most beneficial form of practice.

find some local metal guitarist and ask him for help, if he asks for money send him to me and i'll have him shot, metal is a brotherhood. Do not go to some soul-less guitar whore who teaches kids for cash. if you're anywhere in ireland (unlikely, i know) i'll do it.

Seems like 2 months ago I posted the same thing. Wildly enough, after lots of practice my fingers either shrunk, the strings somehow got further apart, or I just got used to it. :D Don't give up, hang in there, practice, practice, and then practice some more. Good luck.

hi
I had that problem too.but it will be ok by practicing.
And if you have seen the Gilmour's finger you see that they aren't very thin like for example Roger waters but Gilmour plays the guitar better than waters!
(Gilmour is my favorite!)
