Hi lilmusicluver07

Here's a few suggestions/facts/tips on playing fast and a few thoughts on this.

Practising at extremely low speeds allows you to "program" the new pattern or scale you're working on into your "Right Brain" as such. By speeding things up and making mistakes you are programming in the mistakes too. That is why it is vital for fastest learning to work just below the "make no mistakes level".

Use the Metrone as suggested by other posts and gradually speed things up. Your fastest "threshold" to start, is the speed you can play a "scale" say, WITHOUT any mistakes.

GRADUALLY speed up as the days and weeks go by - DAILY practise is vital here too. There's no need to put yourself under "speed pressure" I reckon .

These "Slow Speed" techniques have been "Scientifically Proven" and with steady persistant and use can give super results - slow it all right down and give yourself time to absorb it.

A great key to "Accelerated Learning" (including 'speed playing' itself), is through this "Slow" technique har-har!

Good Luck with it...

'Best
