Plug in the tuner, hold the first 5 strings (adgbe) starting from the high e, Take your pick and pluck the open 6th string or low e. On most tuners you have to get the needle in the middle, check your manual if your not sure. After getting the E string tuned to e, your ready to go. After that you can either use the tuner or your ears. From big to small the strings are tuned to eadgbe. To do it by ear, hold down the 5th fret 6th string, pluck that then pluck the open 5th string, make the sounds sound exactly the same. Make sure you hear little ringing and more solid tone when plucking the string together. After that do the same for every other string. 5th fret 5th string, open 4th. 4th string open 3rd. Now when tuning the 2nd string its different, hold down the 3rd string [U]4th[/U] fret. Then 2nd string fith fret to finish, as for tabs, go here and click next, its in the lesson set, go through the set though. .
