eh, both had good points but dlr was the original VH sound....i mean even on dlr's solo stuff, it still sounds like van halen because he had that presence in the band.

Diamond Dave all the way! I get a huge smile on my face when I hear him singing.....I ain't the worst that you've seen... Additionally I like how he mimics a pinch harmonic with his voice. Also, "Eat 'em and Smile" was a spectacular album with none other than Mr. Steve Vai taking over on some great tracks.

[font=trebuchet ms]DLR is a prime example of the twistin' truth that a disgustingly reprehensible excuse for a human being can make great music. I would far rather spend some of my time with Sammy Hagar, but I have to admit that DLR made better recordings with EVH than Sammy did.
