hi im adam and have been playing electirc guitar for 1 year now and i really want to learn how to solo.......where should i start? what scale should i learn first? if anyone know please reply to this messag.
Start off by learning the pentatonic scale. I saw you mention "Stairway to Heaven" in another thread, that solo is almost entirely pentatonic. There are some good lessons on this site about the pentatonic scale, but you could also google it.

Good advice yet make sure it's the 1st scale and not the only (it's easy to get stuck in the "box"). However, related to Zep and pentatonic: I Can't Quit You Babe was probably the first solo I attempted. It's a good one to start out with and you can switch back to the rythym on troublesome parts.
