Check out my songs. "Monday" I wrote years ago, but just recorded this year. The other one is a classical exercise, but I added an electric lead. Comments are welcome.

Monday sounds really sweet, and I don't even like metal sounding distortion stuff. Something about the way the song developed just seemed like it transitioned well and kept getting stronger and stronger, great job

Just added a new one, "Fleas". Although it isn't my style of music, it's my attempt at a trance song I made on my Playstation, but I couldn't resist throwing in a guitar. The lead isn't great, but it's 2 improvs sliced together...so I kinda like the spontaneous vibe, you know what I mean?

No, not really. But my girlfriend listens to it every now and then, so it sort of inspired me to play around with it on PS2.

Ok, got a new one posted, Cracked. Although I'm not super proud of it, it has it's moments. It really needs a bass in parts, but I don't have one. Reposting the link below:

I didn't realise that you had to sign in to listen to those above so I've moved them, and tweaked Monday up a lil thanks to the delay calculator Doc gave me.
My stuff linked yet again...

Only had time to listen to "Alegro". Really nice progression... man, I would love to shred all over that! I love the arpeggiated sequence, it would sound very Beckerish if played a little faster as a lead part. Ever think about playing that as a solo part (with distortion)? Would be tough to get just right but I think it would kick ass;-)

As far as the lead goes, it has a nice structure to it and helps maintain a melodic framework. My only complaint (and its small) is the tone on the lead guitar. Personally I prefer very little or no delay and reverb, I find that it makes melodies a lot stronger when they are played without any effects, then maybe add a little EQ and compression to the mix. Don't ask me for any tips on getting a good tone though, I just keep it simple with basic distortion.

If I was going to overlay some lead, I would personally play something neo-classical as a counterpoint to the root notes of each bar on the accoustic parts. Kind of toying with the backing part as if it were the left hand on a piano piece. Anyway, thats just me, not everyone is into shred!

Keep up the good work, I'll try to check out the other pieces later.

Well it's not my song, it's Mauro Giuliani's so have at it! Here's my only lesson contribution so far...I'd love to hear other takes of this piece.
