Alright, I am looking into buying this Epiphone LP Special II (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/fg=61/g=guitar/search/detail/base_pid/518334/)
... and i plan on getting the vintage sunburst one which is $200.I am totally in love with it. But for a 15 y/o who doesnt have a job yet and doesnt have any income thats a pretty long time of saving. So i wanna be sure this guitar is good, ive been reading the reviews but idk it seems 50/50. Does anyone own this model? Id rele like to know all the pros and cons to it, so as to avoid wasting my money. :)

WIth Music 123 they have a return policy. If it sucks you can always send it back. I think there is a 45 day make up your mind time. Just watch out for restocking fees !!

To be honest, i would not buy an epi ... i would rather get my ass down to the pawn shops. The only thing i will buy new now is reissue guitars because the real ones are out of my price range...way out i.e. '62 reissue strat.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

I play an Epiphone SG-400. I had to replace the tuners cuz they sucked. But otherwise it plays, sounds, and looks real good. It was a step above the one your lookin at I guess ($300-$400 range when I bought it). I've had it for about 5 years now without any other problems. And like was mentioned above, I'd go to a guitar/pawn shop and try to play the thing before you buy it (or at least feel it, if you don't know how to play yet).

Yeah, Yeah, people say epi's suck but i rele dont think so, my daddy has one of theres and its badass, but i wasnt rele worried about the brand, i was just more wanting to know what the bad things and good things were about it so ill know what they are, and ill either find a way to replace whats wrong (tuners, pick ups, ect.) or i can just live with the minor flaws. But i AM getting this guitar, just wondering whats good and bad about it.

Id replace the tuners with Sperzels. I have them on just about (not the PRS) every one of my axes, including two Gibson LPs
