For a head,your not going to get a good,reliable tube head AND cabinet for under $700.Solid state is plenty loud and no one will notice except you and other guitarists.

If you get the behringer and carvin,you'll break just over $500 and it will mop the floor with any crate crap or low end mg marshall believe me.I had an SX200 and it ripped...the 300 is the 'high gain' model.
