Find some tabs of the songs you like and print them off. Than start trying to learn them. If you don't know something, search this site or the internet till you find the answer.

You're gonna need to learn to do that on your own, that way you'll save time. basically, the fifth fret on the low E should sound the same as the open A. Same with A and D, D and G, and B and the high E. The G string is different, in the the FOURTH fret should vibrate at the same pitch as the B string above it.
As far as a good site to find tabs for those bands:
www.power-tab.net
Download here

Look for tabs here.

Seriously, don't limit yourself to EAD strings
You know what would make more sense If you want to play guitar?
EADGBE :) The full package you could say

Zep was my initial teacher as well. I'd stay away from Stairway to Heaven for awhile though...I'd recommend Dazed and Confused, Rock n Roll, Immigrant Song, or Heartbreaker (a good challenge for beginners). Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You is a good acoustic challenge as well.
