Ok,if say 10+ GT(mid to upper eschelon members/paypal accounts or some verification)members began a money pool, how would it work?

say the group decided on a piece of gear they each want within a certain price range. If the product exceeeds the limit, the member covers the extra bit.

So lets say Member X wants a new mixer or whatever and the range is roughly a thousand bucks.Me,member X and nine others would all chip in $100 and Dr.Si,I mean member X would have a shiny new mixer that would have cost a $1000 out of pocket. This trend continues and everyone gets what they want...kind of like layway.

I know mexican familys do something like this...

Anybody with a similar idea or variation to this?

That's 'sweet water' minus the space.

Let's see if the editor effects image tags-

edit- it does.

I don't think that I could ever get one of those, and not just because of the cost. I'd be too afraid that the thing would take over my mind and make me its slave.

And I'd bet that thing has an oil drilling rig on it too, which would come in reallllllly handy now with gas prices.

So let me see if I got this straight...
I shell out $80,000 for this...."mixer"...that not only will allow me to record, edit, mix, and anything else I could ever want to do musically, but it will also launch me to mars, bring back a martian, and make toast for the both of us, with any jelly we want?!?!

I must have one of these mixers.

no one said anything about a martian.

Sorry, but you can't record with it...you can take control of your daw though(Digital Audio Workstation). Its the same mixer bill gates uses to mix down the "ding dong" sounds for windows xp.
