I think what Jolly is saying isnt that the overuse is bad... but is covering his mistakes.. sort of like when i use my distortion to cover my mistakes when im doing some tapping. It sounds way better but its still a habit that isnt good. I personally like alot of Kirks stuff and i dont see any overuse of Wah but pah, if he overuses it he makes overuse sound rele badass. Every guitarist has an effect they pound on so i dont think that should play any part in determining Kirk as a guitarist. There are other arguments more worth the time than this one.
