dazed and confused

hi my name is dave not sure if im going the right way about introducing myself here well i have been playing on and off for the past 15 years im self taught but cant play a song from start to finish i play cds like srv acdc gary moore carlos santana and just jam along with them play my own lead my problem is i find it hard to understand theory or formulas i know my playing will improve imensley if i could find an easy way to understand theory as i have always just watched others play and learn from that but now my playing has become somwhat stagnet its the same old same old any help ideas or a simple soloution would be very much appreciated :confused:

Welcome to the boards Albaman. There's a specific section in the forums just for theory. I suggest checking it out, plus all the wonderfull lessons throughout the site itsself. Take a look around and have fun.
