I see you're a big Boss pedals fan - me too. You might be interested in trying out the Boss DS1 distortion pedal - it's a gud 'un by all accounts and will let the sound of your guitar be heard (if that's what you want), or u can set it up to full high-gain for a bit of a scream. I find it works very well if you overdrive an already overdriven valve amp with it.
