Yeah sorry for the point of this thread but i, like alot of people are having problems deciding on a new amp.

-I need it too preferably be more than 50 watts.
-I have around $750 dollars
-I try and play Satch, Vai and Dream Theater sort of stuff.
-Should not be that muddy when distorted.
-Dont care if it has to be 2nd hand.(ebay)
-Preferably quiet versitile.
-If possible it should be a combo rather than a stack(portability)

I have heard quiet good things about the Marshall AVT range(AVT150)
Feel free to make any suggestions you want.

Thanks for any input. :D

Once again I will be the lone soul pushing crates on people. I have a crate 212 120w with three channels and I f'n love it...people bad mouth 'em some but mine has a great clean sound, a great old school sound with the rythym channel, and a great metal sound on lead. One of my friends say they are great but you should always play before you buy cuz they do get a ****ty one once in a while...there are my four cents.
