Laney amps?

One of my friends just told me that Laney amps are gettin' to be pretty big in the metal scene...I was wondering if any of you guys had heard/had any experience with 'em?

I wouldn't out of my way for one...and ive NEVER seen them used in metal.Tony Iommi has a sig head,but thats it really.If I came across a good condition VH100,then great,but its not a tone that people seek out too often(in the u.s anyway).Ive never heard anyone say 'I want a laney!".

I had a Laney Mighty fifty in the 80s and it sounded great when it worked. Unfortunately that was not very often.

Proceed with caution !
