noise

hi. i'm new on here so bear with me. i'm in a metal band so i thought id get a metal looking guitar. i have a vintage metal axxe wraith and bc rich mick thompson warlock.
the problem i have with the bc rich is it wont shut up! as soon as i stop playing i get loadsa crackling until i smack the pickups. then just the same kinda sound u get wen u touch a lead when it's plugged into an amp with no guitar. with my wraith, i just get the "guitarless lead" sound and i just wanted to know how i can get rid of the noise. i also use a boss bf2 flange, dd6 digital delay and dunlop crybaby through a marshall mg100dfx if that helps. thanx.

perhaps your another victim of the single coil effect ? Hendrix had to put up with it
