If your sound isn't getting enough treble even when you turn down both bass AND mids, there is obviously a malfunction somewhere in the chain. Start by checking your cables and your ears.

The tonal differences between straight and slanted cabs are not that big, and definitely wouldn't make you perceive a lack of treble the way you do.
