What guitars do you people play??
I'd be intersted to hear what kind of instruments you have. I've just spent what my wife thinks is a disproportionate amount of money on a Taylor 514ce. Money can't buy the kind of pleasure I get from picking on this lovely piece of wood. The tones and feel of the fretboard is inspiring. It did cost me an arm and a leg but there you go - I had to have it.

i play bass and guitar so i have my proper old hand built Warwick Streamer(not the shonky rubbish they churn out these days) which i bought 11years ago.
guitar wise i have a Epiphone zakk wylde les paul, and about a month ago i bought myself a Gibson Les Paul Custom in alpine white. i felt a bit guilty as i didnt really need it, but its so much better than my epiphone.
i like to tell myself its an investment, thankfully i have no wife to convince.

I'm a classic type guy. I have a Squier P-bass, Squier Strat, Fender Strat, Gibson SG, Alvarez Acoustic and BC Rich Warlock. Of those instruments the ones I primarily play would be my Fender, Gibson and Alvarez. I grew up with Fenders and Gibsons, it's more like a heritage. I plan on getting more of each, but I'm gonna invest in some of Carvin's material first. Big fan of Carvin.

Currently I have 1 squire strat 1 fender american deluxe fat strat 1noname homebuilt strat 1 takamine electro-acoustic ... I've had a motherload of them during the years, but so far my favorites are:
Fender * Ibanez * Takamine
I would love to try the Andy Timmons Ibanez signature ...
... I had a Ibanez rg550bk with maple neck ..and I curse the day I sold it!!
gonna get one of those again ..(I sold it because I got fed up with the floyd rose .. I like the regular tremolo ... I use it firmly so I have no need for a locking tremolo) ... the tremolo mounted on my american fender is my favorite ..
okie dokie ..
have a good one

I'm a college student, so the best I can afford is a Cort CL1000.

It's not that many, but here's all the guitars I've ever had in 15 years or so of playing.
First guitar was hand-me-down Antares 6 string acoustic. Have never heard of this brand, and never seen another one, but for free it plays great...I still have it.
Then I saved for an Ovation shallow bowl. This was nice looking, but I wasn't that impressed with how it played, sounded, or felt. Admittedly it was built for amplification purposes, but still I wasn't impressed. I hawked this one for a road trip to New Mexico.
Next was a Peavey electric (forget the model #, but the basic one that comes with a starter package). Basically an imitation strat, it was a great axe to learn on...but eventually sold it.
Then came an Ibanez. Again don't really remember model #, but $3-$400 range with H-S-H and Floyd Rose. Was a Musician's Friend exclusive custom, since it had the 2 buckers and the rose for so cheap. The only one I don't have anymore (sold it) that I kinda miss.
Yamaha 12-string acoustic. This was a gift from my brother who plays as well. Had a crack and broken tuners, but he salvaged it from his closet and did mild repairs to make it playable. Nothing like a 12.
Epiphone SG-400 Korina-I think that's how you spell it...its an 'exotic' wood, light, but with nice grain and natural finish (again a Musicians Friend exclusive). The stock tuners weren't doing it for me, so I replaced them. But awesome tone. By far my favorite axe. Once I got this, I shyed away from my Ibanez.
Lastly, my fiancee got me a Yamaha C-40 classical. Sure it's a bottom of the line student guitar, but it's got good sound. Had to sand my bridge to lower my action to my taste. From classical studies to Willy Nelson, there's just something unique about that nylon sound.
This has to be my longest post...but it was fun for me! Good memories.

I play an Ibanez GRX 40, since I've only been playing for about 9 months, so I only have one guitar. hopefully sometime in the next two or three months I'll be getting a second, haven't decided on one yet though.
