We recorded a fun blues song which contains:

Drums
Vocals
3 rythym guitars
1 lead guitar
harmonica
and in the lasy verse about 6 vocal tracks!

I got the mix sounding good so all the levels are set but was wondering about panning left and right?

Im not really sure what to do here, which tracks would usually go left and which would go right or do you mix them only partly to one side and leave a bit the other????

Does it make a big difference to get a good stero mix?

Thanks for any advice.

As far as the guitars go,I would pan 2 rhythm guitars, one to the left and one to the right.Keep the 3rd rhythm in the middle(this is all subject to how the parts are played,so use discretion).I would keep the lead guitar off slightly off to the left or right.

The idea is to emulate a stage performance...on a stage, not everyone will be in stereo.
Try once,fail twice...
