But to answer your question, you're just going to have to tinker around with what you know you can do in a given key and see how it comes out. It can be pretty ugly at first, but eventually you'll get the hang of it.

You'll want to check out the jam tracks here, but another thing you can do is record different chord progressions into your computer, loop them and solo on top of it.
