I saw Blues Boy King live and in person at the university in Turlock CA. I love BB, his style is so soulfull. He still has it. I was almost in tears when I heard him play that beautiful Gibson. It will be the saddest day in the blues history books when he goes back home, I thank God I got to see him first.

1957 Gibson's parent company, Chicago Musical Instrument, buys Epiphone for $20,000. The purpose is to acquire Epiphone's bass production equipment, but CMI makes Epiphone a division of Gibson and revives the Epiphone name on guitars. A full line of newly designed acoustics and electrics is unveiled in 1958. Epiphone production is moved into Gibson's factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1960. Longtime Epi endorser Al Caiola gets his own model in 1963 and plays it on his hit records of the themes from Bonanza and The Magnificent Seven.

Yes Epiphone is a division of Gibson.

Lucille is a signature model Gibson Guitar. The Epiphone Lucille is a copy of the Gibson at a lower price.

I'm definetly gonna see him the next time he's in town. I can honestly say that he was one of the biggest reasons I picked up the Guitar!!
I remember way back as a kid my uncles would play His and other Blues records(yes, records) and I loved them then and still do.
I picked up the Guitar late (31 yrs. old) but I'm doing alright.
Have you checked out his latest cd "Making Love Is Good For You" ?
It kicks Butt!
Later man, you made my day knowing there's a B.B. fan I can rap with!

Yeah I saw BB in the UK last year, he was truly great. Backing him was John Mayalls Bluesbreakers, john himself must be 70 years old and he still plays great blues. Hope I can get to see BB again one day.
It takes 3 chords, 2 fingers and one asshole to play rock'n'roll
