phrasing is basically the timing or the style of the way you play the notes. Take for instance b-3--5. Try to figure out how many different ways you can play those two notes. Try them slow, try them fast, try bending one note to the next or sliding or ammering on. That's phrasing. Once you get proficient in improvising, you can combine all these elements in your solos. Watch for instance Al di Meola when he solos. He is one of the masters of phrasing. Watch the timing of the notes the way he plays them. that's what phrasing is. You can play the same notes, bu if you phrase them differnt, you can al's solo sound totally different. hope this helps.
