this is my first thread here on this so hello..i am really into classic rock and heavy music..randy rhoades,skynard,purple,jimmy,stevie ray,..etc..i will have a link to my gear pics and descritions..i am really looking for some favorite gear tips or just opinions and suggestions for gear geard towards this style of music.... i am really new to buying bigger gear for live sound or recording.... my gear consist of a 100 watt marshall mg100 head,laney head digitech effects ,stienberger please look at this link it shows how i hook all tis up and everything just click on the pictures ..... http://groups.msn.com/randyraudenbushandfamily/shoebox.msnw?Page=1 as you can see i look for the cheapest... any cheap fixes are appreciated.....

The main difference I see in the tone you seek and the tone you have are tubes. I would suggest investing in something like this . With that and a few pedals, you'll be there in no time.

believe it or not the tone from this amp is pretty good ..it is no jcm but it sounds sooo close..and i agree..but yall are makin the jcm800 money lol..my real concern was affordable versatility (quick transitions with a touch of my foot)for all the styles of music and different tones i am into.. i just played a mode 4 marshall at the music store never heard of it..the guy listened to me talk a minute and he showed it to me..and it had every thing i needed..it is like having 2 -2 channel amps with the foot switch..made just for me ,but a richer me.. thanks for the input
