Play acoustic and can't be bothered with a guitar tuner.

Is there a sound I can play from a web site that will give me an "E" so I can tune correctly?

Cheers :p

Yes there is. http://www.8notes.com/guitar_tuner/ You can thank Akira for that one. And here is a metronome if you want to use one....also compliments of Akira!

Just don't ask him for a site about cheese!!

The top E on a 12 string is the same as the top E on a 6 string.

Some 12s will need to be tuned to a D (use cappo on second fret to emulate normal tuning) however if lazyness is an issue, take off the second set of strings and play it as a regular 6.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

DID YOU KNOW: The dial tone on your phone is actually an 'A'maj notetune your fifth string to it anduse whatever method(I use the standard fith position system)for the rest. Also when your in a gymnasium say at high school, the buzz of the lights is a 'B' note.
this has been a shreddingsoon public awareness posting.
thank you.
