Hi i just got a new Ovation celebrity acoustic/ electric and I am just starting to learn the guitar. I was wondering if anyone had some good pointers on where to begin. I have a pretty extensive music history being part of various concerty bands and things so i know how to read music for the most part. I just need to know where to begin. If anyone could help, it would be great help.

Thanks,
Justin

maybe look around ur area u might find a guitar teacher near u... or get some books on the subject.... if u can read music u will pick it up fast.. learn some basic open chords and build up from there.. this site is excellent for lessons too../

Yea this site is THE greatest website for learning how to play the guitar. I'll be signing up for full membership soon.
