Learn chords in and out. Be able to switch through them randomly untill you feel comfortable. Then look on a tab site or buy sheet music at a nearby music store of what ever artist/'s you desire. Remember: Practice everyday for at least an hour. If you get frustrated then take a couple of minutes or stop untill the next day. Your fingers will hurt for a good week and a half untill you develop calisus' on your fingertips. Untill you have good calisus', you might not be able to hold too many chords without hitting a "dud". Also, you don't have to press down so hard that god couldn't pull away the guitar. Not a lot of pressure is required to keep the strings down. GL.
