Other than that, go to a local music store and buy a couple of book or dvd's on the basics and begginer's guides. Practice everyday, keep in mind that it takes time, patience, and practice to start playing your first songs. Don't be upset if you can't play much within a couple of weeks. Just keep practicing. As I always say, you need dem calluses. You will need them to play most chords, or you will hit "duds".Also practice scales.
