Lifespan of Tubes
How long do the tubes in a tube amp las?t, im about to buy a jcm 2000 watt head and i was wondering how long it takes for the tubes to wear out.

I depends on how hard you use 'em. Running several hours a day with everything cranked up full pin will wear out a set of tubes much faster than occasional use at half-volume.

I ve been told by some repairman that they can last 5 minutes to a lifetime...essentially its not a set amount of hours before they go. 2 years is the longest ive had tubes last and thats because i never push them too hard living in an apartment.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

Because Im such a nice guy I will give you another clew.
click the link that says Marshall TSL100
Another real giveaway is the fact that in the same paragraph that has the link to the TSL100 head at Marshallamps.com I start to talk about new tubes and putting in a set of JJs from Eurotubes.com.
By now bells should be ringing.
