I'm live in the last frontier (UP of MI) and have decided to start pickin at 54 yrs young. I've always been self-taught and now I want to teach myself to play the acoustic guitar and need to have tab explained to me. Yeah I know, dumber than a box of rocks, I'll accept that for now but if someone can point me where to look for an explination of what the written tab means , in relation to execution, it will be fondly appreciated. I wouldn't have a problem with lessons but I have a bad heart and 3ft of snow around us and allot of time to devote to this endeavor sitting in front of the fireplace or ,during our 3 weeks of summer, on the front porch.

ps I receive Guitarnoise and think it is a great site but too advanced for a guitar challanged person such as I.
