micing an amp
If i was too buy a jcm2000 marshall head would it sound the same through line out to the board to the p-amp to the PA speakers as it would if i mic'd it to the PA.?

To answer your question, the answer is ... no
Besides you probably wont need to mic an monster like a JCM800 unless you are playing thousand seater stadiums.

but whats the difference in power, i thought it is basically the same because you are only running a signal from line out and when you mic it its like vocals for the PA. Please explain. thanks
