Just wondering how much ya'll think where you're from affects how you play? For instance, some of my favorite players (B. Gibbons, S.R.V., and Dimebag Darrell) play with an uncertain grit, style, and energy just attributed to their being Texans. Take Jimmy Page...he loved American blues and early rock, but his playing was still genuinely British in some way. Do you think its inevitable to sound like where you're from, or you can learn and practice your way into any style and form?
