Hi all, when i tremolo pick the low e string for such music as slayer's war ensemble, i cant complete more than 5 picks before it starts sounding crap and totally wrong.

Is there any tips for this technique?, ive read many lessons on it but still cant grasp it,

ps. I use a very flexible pick, would this make it harder?

YES. Switch to a heavy as soon as possible.

i use Dunlop Tortex picks.
i love them
i use the green and blue. (the heaviest ones)
i have also used one of those insanely thick picks with the divot in it for your thumb. its like purple.
has anyone ever used one of those?

I don't like those...too thick...no give whatsoever...hard to play with, although I imagine they're great for clean Jazz lead.

If you're talking about the clear purple ones, that's all I use anymore. I'm working on Eugene's Bag Trick and it's the most comfortable (not to memtion lightest) pick I could find
