As people in the know would tell you (and I don't claim to be one of them, I only claim to be in the know that I don't know), the tone you produce with your guitar has a whole lot to do with your right hand technique (or left hand technique if you are left handed, d'oh!! :rolleyes: ). You may well be surprised to find out that alot of the players whose tone you adore didn't really have a lot of fancy "tone" equipment. I'm not saying amps don't matter, they obviously do, but just bear in mind that you contribute a lot more to your tone than just buying the right equipment.
