ugg why does everybody love HB's? The strat sound is a staple of rock and roll. If you want to "shred" get HB's, but if you want to wail- stick with the good ol' single coils. But even still, amp modelling is so advanced now that you can make a guitar sound like almost anything. For the love of God do NOT chop up a strat to put HB's in it- if you do there was no point to getting a strat in the first place.

no beef btw to those of you who like HB's, but if you want that kinda sound, buy that kinda guitar. You can probably tell I'm a bit fanboy on Fender.
