I have a quiestion too about Voltages 'n Stuff. Answer requires more experience than actual knowledge.

I'm just thinking about buying an active pickup to increase the SNR of my gear (I wrote a lot about noises in a recent thread.). I think that with an active pickup, this noise can be supressed.
But the next favtor is the things I want to drive with this input signal. First, it shall go into a Wah pedal. Straight deal. Taking the maximum gain of the pedal, and the fact that I'm working with a 9V supply gives me the limit. But the actual problem is, that I don't have an idea about the maximum gain of the Wah pedal!
So do you have any idea about this gain? There's nothing written in the documentation of the pedal, nor on the pedal on the sticker.

I know how to measure the gain, but... if you have ppl around you who have the information, asking them is easier than finding things out on your own :) That's what this forum is for anyway :D

Why? According to the testing done until now, the source of noise is not my pick up. It could be more like the mains inside the house. :)
(I'm just looking for a good 50Hz filter right now. :) )
