I own a Digitech GNX4. I don't know how I lived without it. It was roughly $460 US dollars.

It has a built in 8 track recorder, which is very nice for catching certain riffs and licks which many of us seem to forget.

It also has a built in drum machine and metronome. Very awesome as well.

Plenty of effects, amp/cabinet models and even comes with recording software.

The best part is being able to plug it into my computer via USB and recording straight away. The 8 track is awesome for when I'm out practicing with friends. I get a cool idea, hit record and record it. No need to worry about forgetting it.

There is also tons of patches that can be downloaded via the interent. It also supports midi keyboards and even has a mic preamp in it.
