I just discovered harmony...

I was just curious if any of you have played with others using harmony? I just discovered this way of playing and am going to try it out. It's amazing what you can pick up when you get out of a rut and look to other styles and ideas. Incidently, a song just got added to the list we've been playing and it uses mostly power chords. I thought that was kinda ironic being that I just asked about those here not too long ago.

Well it is 3rds and 5th that make up major chords. you can do the same thing with guitar runs and lead parts one playing the melody and one playing either a 3rd or a 5th above or below it in the case of major tonality.
