distortion peddles

i'm thinking about getting a new peddle and going with stronger distortion sound. i currently own a ts9 for my strat, and want to go heavier. any ideas and recommendations?

Well, I don't know much about peddles, but I do something about pedals. If you like Ibanez, you could try the TS7 because it has the "hot" switch on it. Or you could try the Turbo Tubescreamer.

Have a look at the Boss OD-20. It is 18 different types of distortion pedal in a double modeling pedal.

I have one and it nails the sound of the TS9DX I used to have ( A / B ed them) and will do everything from light blues overdrive to massive dropped octave nuclear meltdown metal.

Very versatile and you will probably never need a different distortion pedal!

Well for the money,the ibanez smashbox gets one helluva sound and its about half the price of a Boss metalzone.

If money isn't an issue then get one of these...
