I you connect a 16 Ohm cab in parallel with an 8 Ohm cab, the net impedance is [u]5.3 Ohms[/u].
If you have a tube amp with an impedance-matching switch for the output transformer, the closest setting is 4 Ohms, with 8 Ohms as an acceptable alternative. A transistor amp won't care what the impedance is, as long as it's above the specified minimum.[/font]
