I was just wondering what is the most crazy thing to ever happen at a show you played at. I know mine was a year or so ago. My band was playing a battle of the bands and the crowd has been drinking for three hours or so. Well, while I was standing on the drum set ready to jump off a chair came flying at me. Luckly I rolled off the drum set in time for it to crash into the wall (the drummer ducked too). It was insane. So thats my story. how about yours?
I can't help it. When I get an idea that excites me it's as if I can't breath unless I make it real.

That's hilarious! Aside of my santa horror story, one night we were playing this hole in the wall joint (I was in a joke-punk rock band called 3 non porn stars at the time). We were doing a cover of anti-pasti's song no government, and the way the song starts is with some feedback and pickslides, then a 4 count on the snare drum- the 4 count happens, then this awful crash- our drummer's set had collapsed and all I heard from behind it was our drummer yelling "WE'RE POOR!!!!" So while he set his kit back up, I bought him a pitcher of beer which he proceeded to kill... things got hilarious after that.

I kinda miss being in a punk rock band in a way!

Man that is funny. I remember watching my friends band playing. The singer was doing the spinning mic trick and knocked out the guitarist. Literally knocked him out! The singer just picked up the guitar and keep going. Afterwards we had to rush him to the hospital.

ROFL- makes me think of the old joke of how to stop a guitarist from soloing!

That's why I wear a helmet when I play.

Which reminds me of another story- same band- we were a bunch of clowns, so one practice, we could not get this one song right, and it would be different people making different mistakes at different times, so as we got closer and closer to getting it right, a mistake would so ridiculously frustrating, so the bass player found a helmet laying around (we didn't even have a studio or anything, just a garage) and whoever messed up had to wear the helmet until we got it right. If I can find them, there are pics of that floating around- I'll post em if I find em.

I was once doing sound for some friends of mine at a battle of the bands in some nasty North of England **** hole of a town and this damn psychobilly band were on the same bill. "Spook and the Gouls" they were called. Anyway the idiot psychbilies did there set and well, it was crap. Our band came on and started to play. At that point the psychobillie's fans started to try and pull leads out of the desk. Less than amusing. We (and the bus load of now warlike and drunken fans that had accompanied) ended up getting a police escort out of town that night !!

How we laughed !

I think one of the best examples of crowd control I have ever seen was a band we used to be friendly with called Guns and Wankers (made up from bits of SNUFF who were and still are excellent). When Mr drunken and warlike bean pole punk gets up on stage, they would give him something to do, like hit hit a cow bell and press a door bell. It worked like a charm. Im sitting in the wings professing doom and destruction and no it worked every time !

Oh these guys are into this seriously old sounding rock and roll (rockabilly ?) and will have shaved heads with the exception of a bright green quiff etc.

A cross between an old style Punk, a teddy boy and a skin head !
Right off there heads !!

in so cal its not uncommon to see them walking around. they like to walk for some reason, not necessarily poor, but more of a group thing. pyschobilly, rockabilly, rockability, basically same thing but slightly different unless we have a rock-(insert ending sounding like billy here) to show us the true difference.

You know... I got nothing... at least nothing new... everything interesting with me has already been posted somewhere else on the site.... I really need to get a band going...
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

If a gt get together was to be held in Uganda, Tanzania, etc (I'm Kenyan), I'd attend.

Craziest thing that ever happened to me? I'd say it was that people actually enjoyed us. We didn't even have a drummer so there was no rhythm, our timing was out of whack. The music was downright stupid and somehow we got a standing ovation... and they were sincere. Still blows my mind. We could've probably just farted in a can and lit it and still gotten a good reaction.
