Hi,

I am having difficulty fixing a buzz on a fender telecaster (Japan 80s), I think it is most likely a grounding problem (the buzz goes away when I touch the strings/bridge) - I have checked and fixed any dry joints and bad connections but the buzz is still there.

Does anyone have any suggestions or pointers to common faults, places to look or possible fixes? Should I look at copper shielding tape or something....?

Cheers.

Have you tried grounding the bridge? It's not normally a problem on tele's but worth a shot, make a jumper cable out of 2 alligator clips and a piece of wire, clip one end to the bridge and the other to your ground, see if that helps,....
