I've been playing for quite some while, i started when my friend taught me the G chord but then that's all i learned from him. From then on, i teached myself, but i can only go so far. I played some mainstream music i liked, learned tab, and then i moved on to classical as i thought they would challenge me. oh and by the way, nice change in layout here.

but let see, to outline my troubles....
1. i can't read notes. = well i can, but it would take me a good few hours to transpose it in the guitar, thus i need to hear a song before being able to play it. i don't know that much theory at all, just knowing the basic notes.

2. Finger troubles= learning by myself, i've learned to stretch my 123 finger. but never my pinky, my pinky is really weak. also, in plucking, i never learned to luck with all fingers, but just my thumb and index finger.

3. Short attention span= i know about a good number of songs, but if their tabs, then most of them is just intro's and stuff. Sometimes my logic is "hey it just repeats from there, i know it" or "ah, that's the hardest in the song, so the rest would be easy, no need to learn them"

4. need a teacher, need to improve= another logic of mine is that, "hey, i know i can't do that, i'll move to an easier song" that's why sometimes i need someone to push me, my finger strength and speed increases gradually, but not enough.

so much i want to learn, i want to learn theory, how to play your own solos, the scales and importance of them to play in guitars, i have no idea what they are really. i just follow the tabs. i really want to learn the stuff.
anybody who experienced this stuff? and anybody who can help me out?
well thanks for taking your time to read my post, and if you can help, i would really appreciate it.
