Depends what your playing. For acoustic I like the Dean Markely Bronze.
Electric go with EB. I like the new Beefy Slinky!
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

I prefer the Erinie ball Power Slinky's. I find that they give a nice crunchy sound and they feel great. Although choosing the right strings is more personal taste. I'd just buy a set of each and test what you like better.

I play soft blues such as BB King all the way to heavy metal such as Iced Earth.
And I find nothing wrong with my Dean Markley Singnature Series NickelSteel Electric strings.

I play 10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46 size just for additional info.

Id have to agree with Mike, as inexpensive as strings are, buy both and decide for yourself. My personal opinion would be the EB 10's . They carry a nice growl with the power chords and double stops. Fender Bullets is also a nice sting for staying in tune during alot bending and tremolo abuse.

I buy the cheapest strings I can find on sale. The truth is that most strings are made in two factories in the orient [Korea, China] They just put em in different packages, call em by different names and market them depending on whe they are trying to sell them to. My suggistion is to experiment with different guages until you find the feel and sound you like. you can pay more or you can pay less; the guitar could care less.
