when was I insultive sarcastic or rude when It wasn't need? Everthing on this post by me has been neutral until I was called annyoning and I still didn't flame him. I'm not mad about anything here....
....The guy showed me disrespect and respect is mutal.
In fact I found his comment insultive personally.

I never called you "annyoning", and I don't feel anything I said was "insultive". :(

I know this irrelevant... I wish I could spell that, but half the time I think i'm spelling something wrong I spell it right. But then I mess up with the grammar. But that wasn't my point at all.
Do you know what we need though?

anyone ever seen the simpsons episode where lisa goes to this club and watches a lady play the violin. the other lady next to her says "that sounds aweful" and lisa says "you have to listen to the notes she's not playing".
to enjoy emo... its kind of like that. you have to listen to the notes they aren't singing and the notes they aren't playing.
in other words emo sucks. its all image. if you have a pretty face, you can sing in an emo band.

Obiously, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to just go "oh emo sucks" or "[insert genre here] sucks" is a little insulting. I'm sure it's not meant to be insulting, but i do listen to Thursday, The Used, Thrice, Story of the Year, Alexisonfire, AFI and From Autumn to Ashes to name a few. I listen to whatever sounds good to me, and i don't discriminate (except country...sorry). My iTunes library has over 3200 songs from all kinds of artists and i could really care less what other people are listening to.
These bands i listed are bands i like because aside from liking the way the music sounds, i can relate to it. most of these bands are kids like me. they sing/scream about love, hate, happiness, depression, aggression or just plain old ****ing around. I'm 20 years old and thats what i deal with on a daily basis. I'm gonna defend my emo/screamo regardless of what ya'll throw at me!

you know what i'm noticing lately is a really annoying trend in music? the current wave of indie rock and indie rock popularity. all of a sudden it's becoming trendy to like seattle again and be pretentious(sp?) and all that crap. you know, for as much as i love complex music, i can do without the pretention....unless you're gonna be analytical about it.....don't bull**** how great and complex the latest flaming lips cd is and then snub me when i'm listening to some good old punk rock or ska.
edit: my bad, haven't been here in a while, forgot about the censoring.

AFI's guitarist is underrated.

Man I don't really understand what your saying, but In my opion, the last wave out of seattle was one of the best periods of modern rock. I regard Kurt Coban as I do Jimi Hendrix. Although the things Cobain played were rather easy; he made sounds come out of the guitar that were unheard of.
