Anyvbody here play power chords in the same looking shape as Kirk Hammett of Metallica?

Everytime I see him play them it likes like he's either barring the strings or just using his index and baby finger with the two in the middle sticking up... It make him look like he's playing with ease and it looks very professional... COuld anyone explain how to emulate this?

This picture shows an example of what i'm talking about:

Thanks...

He's just using his index and pinky and keeping the other two fingers off the strings.

I always fret them like that. It's just more comfortable to me.

It's not hard to do, just use your index and pinky instead of your ring finger.

Tadaa, the wonderful Hammet strikes again.

thats what Jimmy Page did too, except he usually barred the two strings on the A and D or D and G or whatever

thats what I do, and i remember it taking kind of a while to get the hang of because my pinky is rather weak

but it makes switching power chors a ton easier

also it lets you switch to chords like this really easily

----3--2--3--2-----

Yes , I do .
Dave Mustaine use this for some rhythms that are harder to play normaly.
